Login server

A CSE login server is a general-purpose, shared server available for user by CSE staff and students. Access is via SSH. Most login servers are in a DNS pool behind the DNS name login.cse.unsw.edu.au and they can be reached from the wider/public Internet.

Login servers have the same software set as physical lab computers and VLAB servers.

Typically, VLAB servers and login servers are actually the same hosts pulling double duty.
