merge_ip_addresses_into_blocks is a script which merges, as much as possible, disparate individual IPv4 addresses into subnetwork blocks.

Used in the etc_exports host generator to reduce the list of individual authorised NFS client IPv4 address into a much shorter list for inclusion in /etc/exports for the NFS home directory servers.
