The cfengine hub is the repository of:

  • the component files used to create promises.cf,
  • the files which are fetched (copied into the filesystem) by the cf-agent process running on each New World host. Implicitly this means the hub runs an instances of cf-serverd, and
  • the hostname.csv CSV files which contains each known host's name, IP address, configuration classes, exported filesystems (if home directory server).
